Going to War Against the Mice

Since the rainy season really started in earnest I've been plagued by mice in my yurt and the abandoned cabin I'm fixing up. Eating my clothes, staining my crafting supplies, leaving their deadly hanta virus carrying poop all over my home - finally I decided enough was enough and the battle against the mice for my survival began in earnest. 🪤 I'm happy to hear your suggestions for surviving mouse season off grid and general mouse trapping strategies in the comments but please keep in mind I will not be using poison at any cost. I had a family puppy die from eating rat poison when I was a kid and I would never put Romeo's life at risk, I also wouldn't want to risk killing the owls and other birds in the area.
